Untitled – Royal Botanic Gardens Craft Cottage
I’ve forgotten what this flower is called and couldn’t find it in either of my two flower encyclopaedias this morning. I think it is a wallflower (or Erysimum) of some kind.
Despite the breeze on last week’s walk to the RBG, I managed to capture several flowers with my Macro lens using a faster shutter speed. I’m looking forward to the day when Melbourne’s weather settles down to a windless Spring Day when I can make more use of this lens. There’s certainly some lovely Spring flowers around, but a Macro lens picks up the tiniest breath of wind. Long time followers may remember I shot a lovely macro of this flower last year showing the very sharpest of details. Each flower head is made up of 3-4 different colours and shapes on this particular variety.
