More Rusty photos from down at St Kilda Beach
Down near the lighthouse at St Kilda beach, there is an old, rather weather-beaten chain-wire fence separating the entrance to the boat marina from the foreshore. At low tide, one can get up close for a few photos of the rusted fence posts with strands of dried seaweed fluttering in the breeze.
Lots of texture and vibrant colours (or is that the polarizing lens which gave the rust that brilliant reddish-orange)?
The best part is that you have a very steady post to lean against in lieu of a tripod.

Very nice – I like these kinds of studies!
Thankyou Timo – rust always makes for an interesting photo.
Love some rust – great set!
Very interesting photos…and that barbed wire looks to be very old…like decades and decades old….
Probably weathered by the sea air & waves crashing against it at high tide (as much as age). It would be well & truly covered at high tide I would think.
